For someone who waited a long time to return to the Octagon, Felice Herrig didn't seem to want to stay there long on Saturday.
In her first bout since April 2015, the popular strawweight needed just 1:59 to finish Kailin Curran at UFC on FOX 20. A rear-naked choke was the winning move at Chicago's United Center.
Herrig wasted little time scoring a takedown, and from side control, she managed to take Curran's back. She sunk in the choke and held on even as Curran got to her feet, then dropped back to the mat.

The Hawaiian Curran (4-3) continued to valiantly fight off the choke, but eventually had no choice but to tap.
Herrig (11-6), of nearby Crystal Lake, Ill., has now won two of her past three fights.
"It feels great, I feel the energy here," Herrig said. "I took a lot of time off, a lot of people didn't get to see, but a lot of people helped me behind the scenes to get my body and my mind back on the right path.
