Two unbeaten talents will collide in a lightweight bout at UFC on FOX 21, as Jeremy Kennedy makes his promotional debut against Josh Emmett in Vancouver on Aug. 27, sources told MMA Fighting.
Kennedy (8-0) competed as a featherweight the majority of his MMA career, but will move up to 155 pounds for his first appearance inside the Octagon. The British Columbia native made his MMA debut in 2013, and stopped five of his eight opponents.
Emmett (10-0), who also holds five stoppage victories in MMA, defeated Jon Tuck via decision in his UFC debut last May. The Team Alpha Male prospect suffered a compound fracture on his finger during the contest, but that didn't stop him from winning.
UFC on FOX 21 takes place at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, and features Demian Maia vs. Carlos Condit in the main event. Former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis co-headlines the show against Charles Oliveira.
