INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Don't send Dan Henderson to the old age home just yet.

With an absolute magic MMA moment, Henderson, who will turn 46 years old in August, electrified the crowd at The Forum with a second-round knockout of Hector Lombard on Saturday night at UFC 199.

"I'm not sure what happens after this fight, we'll see what happens," said Henderson (32-14), who won for the second time in his last three fights. "That may have been the last one of my career."

The Southern California crowd seemed almost desperate to will one of their own to victory, as the chants for the Temecula native started early and lasted throughout the fight.

But he had to weather some hairy moments to get there. Lombard shook off an early H-bomb and very nearly finished the fight, getting Henderson to the mat, working from side control, and trying for an armbar.

Henderson survived to the second, then got the job done. Lombard caught a Henderson kick, but Henderson landed a vicious elbow to the temple which dropped Lombard, then added two more elbows which knocked him cold. The bout was waved off at 1:27 of the second.

"He hits hard," said Henderson after his 16th career knockout. "And he had me in trouble in the first round, I had him hurt and he rushed me and knocked me on my butt. I appreciate you guys, the warmth of my heart and I appreciate that. I'll tell you what he's a tough guy, but that felt good."

In losing his return to middleweight, Lombard dropped to 34-6-1 (2 NC).
