The main card is set for Bellator 159 after several new fights were announced Wednesday.
Of note is a featherweight bout between rising star Emmanuel Sanchez (13-2) and tough veteran Daniel Weichel (36-9).
Sanchez, a Roufusport fighter based in Milwaukee, has won three staight bouts, the last being a split decision over Daniel Pineda at Bellator 149, and is 5-1 overall in Bellator. The German Weichel, who has 21 career submission victories, is 4-1 in Bellator and won the Season 10 featherweight tournament before losing to then-champion Patricio Freire in his only loss in the company.
Also announced for the July 22 event in Kansas was a light heavyweight fight between Phillipe Lins (9-1) and Guilherme Viana (7-2) and a flyweight bout between Brazilian prospect Bruna Ellen (2-0) and Jessica Middleton (0-0).
The bouts round out the Spike TV portion of the card, previously announced were the bantamweight main event between Darrion Caldwell (9-0) and Joe Taimanglo (22-6) and the lightweight co-main of Dave Rickels (17-4, 1 NC) vs. Melvin Guillard (32-16-2, 2 NC).
