Anthony Johnson vs. Glover Teixeira, Donald Cerrone vs. Rick Story added to UFC 202

The Anthony Johnson vs. Glover Teixeira matchup did not take long to be rebooked.

"Rumble" will meet Teixeira in a light heavyweight contender matchup in the co-main event of UFC 202 on Aug. 20 in Las Vegas, it was confirmed Monday by UFC officials. Also on the card will be a welterweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Rick Story. MMAjunkie was the first to report the news.

Johnson and Teixeira were initially supposed to face off at UFC on FOX 20 on July 23 in Chicago, but "Rumble" recently withdrew due to personal reasons. The winner of Johnson-Teixeira could very well be in line for the next 205-pound title shot.

Johnson (21-5) has won two straight and 11 of his last 12 overall. He is coming off a first-round TKO win over Ryan Bader at UFC on FOX 18 in January. Johnson, 32, only has one loss -- to current light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier -- since 2012, before he made the move up to 205.

Teixeira (25-4) most recently knocked out Rashad Evans in the first round of their main event bout at UFC on FOX 19 in April. The Brazilian has won three straight and eight of his 10 fights in the UFC. Teixeira, 36, has not lost since a decision defeat to Phil Davis in 2014.

Cerrone (30-7, 1 NC) will have a quick turnaround after finishing Patrick Cote via third-round TKO a little more than a week ago in Ottawa. The 33-year-old is 2-0 since moving up to welterweight following a lightweight title loss to Rafael dos Anjos. Story (19-8) has won three straight and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Tarec Saffiedine in May. The 31-year-old was out 19 months in between that fight and his win over Gunnar Nelson in 2014.

UFC 202 is headlined by a welterweight rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz. The two fought at UFC 196 in March with Diaz winning by second-round submission. The event will be the UFC's second at the new T-Mobile Arena. UFC 200 will be the first.
