The UFC has officially announced two bouts for upcoming events in the United States.
At UFC 203, rising lightweight Mairbek Taisumov will take on longtime UFC veteran Nik Lentz. Taisumov (25-5) enters the bout riding a four-fight knockout streak, while Lentz (26-7-2) looks for his second straight win following a split decision over Danny Castillo in December.
UFC 203 takes place at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, on Sept. 10, and features Stipe Miocic’s first heavyweight title defense against Alistair Overeem in the main event.
UFC Fight Night 91, booked for July 13 at Sioux Falls’ Denny Sanford Premier Center, will feature a strawweight clash between Cortney Casey and Cristina Stanciu.
Casey (4-3) signed with the UFC with a 4-1 record, but has yet to win a fight inside the Octagon. After losing a pair of decisions to Joanne Calderwood and Seo Hee Ham, Casey faces Stanciu (5-1), who suffered her first professional loss to Maryna Moroz in her Octagon debut.
