UFC Fight Night 87 took over Rotterdam, Netherlands, Sunday, and furious action followed.
Eight of the night's 13 fights ended via finish, and those finishes were rewarded. In the post-fight press conference, it was revealed that the UFC forewent a Fight of the Night in order to dole out more performance bonuses, giving four in total.
Alistair Overeem, Stefan Struve, Gunnar Nelson, and Germaine de Randamie will each take home $50,000 for their efforts at the event.
These fighters also took part in the top four fights on the card, closing out the show with a bang.
Overeem knocked out Arlovski in round two in the night's main event. After withstanding a flurry from his foe early, Overeem found his groove in the night's second frame, eventually scoring the knockout via a jumping kick/left hook combo followed by some ground-and-pound.
Struve needed just 16 seconds to wipe out Antonio Silva. As "Bigfoot" charged forward, Struve remained calm, landing a vicious knee that set up the finish via elbows against the cage. The victory marked Struve's first stoppage since 2012.
Nelson, meanwhile, took to the ground to finish his opponent, red-hot prospect Albert Tumenov. Nelson eventually found his opening in Round 2 and took it, snatching Tumenov's neck and sinking in the rear-naked choke.
Dutch striker Germaine de Randamie showcased her skills on the feet against Anna Elmose. After controlling the action on the feet early, de Randamie pressed Elmose against the cage, securing a Muay Thai clinch. A vicious knee to the body followed, and Elmose collapsed, signaling the end.
