Jon Tuck will face a different opponent on Sunday’s UFC event in Rotterdam, Netherlands, as undefeated UFC newcomer Josh Emmett replaces injured Nick Hein.
Emmett (9-0) makes his promotional debut four months after defeating UFC veteran Christos Giagos to defend his West Coast FC lightweight title. The Team Alpha Male prospect was scheduled to meet Joshua Aveles Saturday, but pulled out of the event to make his Octagon debut the day after.
Tuck (9-2), on the other hand, looks to go 4-2 in the UFC in Rotterdam. The 31-year-old lightweight hasn’t fought since a first-round submission victory over Tae Hyun Bang in May 2015. "Super Saiyan" finished his opponent in eight of his nine MMA victories, including two of his three wins under the UFC banner.
UFC Fight Night 87 takes place Sunday at the Ahoy Rotterdam arena, and features Alistair Overeem vs. Andrei Arlovski in the main event.
