The UFC has announced the 16 fighters that will be participating in the third season of the Spanish-speaking reality television series of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America.
This will be the first time the TUF: Latin America series will showcase fighters from only one weight class: the lightweight division. UFC Hall of Famers and former UFC light heavyweight champions Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell will serve as the coaches of the two teams competing in the tournament.
Additionally, it was also announced the six Latin American coaches that will be aiding Liddell and Griffin. Mexican coaches Raul Arvizu and Francisco Grasso, and Brazilian Eduardo Duarte will be part of Team Griffin. While coaches Raul Senk and Mike Valle from Mexico, along with Ivan Iberico from Peru will be helping Liddell.
The third season of TUF: Latin America began filming on May 16 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is currently scheduled to air beginning Aug. 24 on UFC Network, UFC Fight Pass, and various TV channels throughout Latin America.
