A couple late changes have been made to this weekend's Invicta 17 event.

Japan's Mizuki Inoue has withdrawn from the event in Costa Mesa, Calif. due to a training injury, the company announced Monday. Taking her place in a strawweight matchup against Brazil's Aline Serio (9-5) will be Kaline Medeiros (6-4).

Medeiros, nicknamed "The Dark Angel," is a native of Brazil who now trains with Mark DellaGrotte in Boston. She carries a three-fight win streak into her Bellator debut. Serio is also making her Invicta debut is has won five out of her past six.

Invicta also announced that an atomweight matchup between Tessa Simpson (4-1) and Julia Jones (4-0) has been scrapped. No reason was given for the cancelation.

That leaves the card with eight bouts, which will be headlined by Tonya Evinger's bantamweight title defense agains Colleen Schneider.
