UFC 201 is starting to shape up as yet another big-time event in July.
During a UFC Tonight telecast on Wednesday it was reported that UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will defend his title against Wilson Reis at UFC 201. According to the report, Reis-Johnson will be the co-main event for the July 30 pay-per-view card, which takes place at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
A welterweight title bout between champion Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley will headline the event.
The 29-year old "Mighty Mouse" Johnson is coming of a resounding TKO victory over the Olympic gold medalist wrestler Henry Cejudo at UFC 197 in April. That victory marked his eighth overall title defense, a run that began back in 2012 at UFC 152 when he defeated Joseph Benavidez.
The Brazilian Reis, 31, scored a unanimous decision victory over Dustin Ortiz his last time out at UFC on FOX 18 in January. Overall he has won three of four fights, his only loss coming against Jussier Formiga in May 2015 (unanimous decision).
