Light heavyweight veteran Phil Davis was the top earner at this past Saturday's Bellator 154 event, securing a $60,000 payday for his main event victory over Muhammed Lawal. The California State Athletic Commission released the event's figures this week to MMA Fighting.
Davis, a former UFC top contender, edged Lawal in a closely contested fight to pick up a unanimous decision win and earn the next light heavyweight title shot against Bellator champion Liam McGeary. Lawal took home $30,000 in the losing effort.
Bellator 154 took place May 14 at the SAP Center in San Jose, CA. The main card aired live on Spike TV.
Co-main event winner Saad Awad and victorious prospect Adam Piccolotti were the next two highest earners on the card. Awad pocketed $24,000 for his first-round stoppage of Evangelista Santos ($17,000), while Piccolotti took home $20,000 for his first-round finish of Ray Wood ($6,000).
A complete list of the Bellator 154 salaries can be seen below. As always, these figures do not represent a fighter's total earnings, as sponsorship incomes and discretionary post-fight bonuses are not publicly disclosed.
