Add George Roop to an unfortunate list that includes Anderson Silva and Tyrone Spong.
The former UFC bantamweight suffered a gruesome leg injury during a fight at ROAD FC on Saturday in South Korea. Roop went for a front kick against opponent Yoon Jun Lee and either his leg or his foot was hurt badly at impact.

When the leg was pulled back to a normal position, Roop couldn't put any pressure on it and the bout was called off. Lee was ruled the winner by TKO due to injury.
This was Roop's first fight since being released from the UFC. Most recently, he fell to Takeya Mizugaki via unanimous decision back in September. Roop (15-13-1) has now lost three in a row. The Arizona native, now 34 years old, had competed in either the UFC or WEC, with the exception of one fight, going back to 2008.
Sending my thoughts to @GeorgeRoop, who suffered a leg injury in competition. Heal quickly, brotha. You are one tough dude.

Silva and Spong both broke their legs in fights in recent years. The late Corey Hill, a UFC veteran, did the same in the UFC in 2008.
