Uriah Hall off UFC 198 fight card

Matt Roberts-USA TODAY Sports

One-time opponent of Anderson Silva, UFC middleweight Uriah Hall, is off Saturday's UFC 198 fight card, MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz has learned. Combate was the first to report the news.

The UFC attempted to find a replacement fight for Hall once it was determined Silva was too ill to compete and required gall bladder surgery. However, the two sides could not come to a mutually-agreed upon arrangement.

Silva vs. Hall was set to take place on Saturday's main card. According to the UFC, Warlley Alves vs. Bryan Barberena has been moved from the preliminary card to the main as a substitute. Francisco Trinaldo vs. Yancy Medeiros has been moved from UFC Fight Pass to FOX Sports 1.

Hall, 31, last competed at UFC 193 in November where he lost to Robert Whittaker by unanimous decision.
