Strawweight prospect Istela Nunes scores highlight-reel KO in Brazil

Created to give talents from the favelas a chance to shine in mixed martial arts, Festival de Lutas da CUFA’s second edition took place Wednesday night in Rio de Janeiro, and Istela Nunes made the most of the opportunity.

Undefeated in MMA with three wins and one no contest, Nunes, a 23-year-old muay thai specialist from Parana Vale Tudo team, scored a devastating knockout over Karoline Martins in the third round, landing three head kicks.
