There's good news and bad news this week. First, the good. We've passed UFC Fight Night 86, which was a semi-surprising ratings success. Junior dos Santos appears to have gotten back on track, although whether he's truly reformed remains to be seen. Derrick Lewis also continued his winning ways as he more and more becomes a fan favorite among hardcore fight fans.

This Saturday is also UFC on FOX 19, which features the return of Khabib Nurmagomedov. That's reason alone to celebrate. There's also a hugely important fight in Rashad Evans's career as well as a fantastic women's strawweight fight between Rose Namajunas and Tecia Torres.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but it appears the Octagon return of Georges St-Pierre is all but inevitable. Contractual hurdles remain, but it seems hard to believe this would prevent him from competing.

Then, the bad news. A Portuguese fighter competing in Dublin, Ireland against one of Conor McGregor's teammates was taken to the hospital after losing his fight where he eventually died. From what one can tell from afar, it's caused a bit of a stir there in the media. We don't yet know everything that happened, but suffice to say, it's a sober reminder of how things can go badly in the sport.
