Jon Jones smashes pads shortly after being released from jail

Jon Jones wasted no time getting to work after being released from jail Thursday.

In a video reposted to Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA's Instagram account, the former UFC light heavyweight champ blasted some mitts with striking coach Brandon Gibson, showing off the latest improvements to his stand-up attack.

In the caption, Jones acknowledged his latest slip up and his apparent re-dedication to MMA, saying:

Won't let nothing disturb my peace. Right back to work.. Round five out of seven. Them Ramen noodles got me feeling right

Jones faces Daniel Cormier for the UFC light heavyweight title April 23 in the main event of UFC 197. In his most recent Octagon appearance at UFC 182 in January 2015, Jones defeated Cormier via unanimous decision.
