Former champion Rashad Evans has a new opponent for his return to the Octagon.

The UFC announced on Wednesday that Mauricio Rua has pulled out of the UFC on FOX 19 co-main event with a "small injury", and Glover Teixeira will step in and face "Sugar" on April 16 in Tampa.

Teixeira (24-4) enters the bout coming off back-to-back impressive finishes over Ovince St. Preux and Patrick Cummins, bouncing back to the win column following losses to Jon Jones and Phil Davis.

Evans (19-4-1), who was scheduled to face Teixeira in February of 2015, looks to get back on track after a decision loss to Ryan Bader. Prior to the bout, the former UFC champion defeated Dan Henderson and Chael Sonnen.

UFC on FOX 19 takes place at the Amalie Arena and features Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson in the main event.
