UFC tickets sell out fast for soccer stadium event in Brazil

Fabricio Werdum and Stipe Miocic will fight in front of 45,000 fans on May 14, as LivePass announced on its official website that there are no more tickets available for UFC 198.

Tickets for the Curitiba event went on sale Tuesday for members of the Atletico Paranaense fan club, and 16,000 were sold in a few hours. The official sale began Wednesday, and 16,000 tickets were sold in less than 90 minutes. By Thursday afternoon, all 45,000 tickets were gone. VIP packages are the only available.

The cheapest ticket for UFC 198 cost 139 reais, which represents 15 percent of the current minimum wage in the country. Octagon side tickets went from 770 to 2000 reais.

UFC 198 will be headlined by a heavyweight title bout between Fabricio Werdum and Stipe Miocic, and the main card will also feature Ronaldo Souza vs. Vitor Belfort, Cris Cyborg vs. Leslie Smith, Mauricio Rua vs. Corey Anderson and Anderson Silva vs. Uriah Hall.
