Thomas Almeida vs. Cody Garbrandt official for UFC Fight Night 88, rest of card announced

The big-time bantamweight contenders bout between Cody Garbrandt and Thomas Almeida that has been rumored for the UFC's May 29 fight night is official. And during the UFC Fight Night 85 telecast on Fox Sports 1 from Brisbane on Saturday, the UFC announced the rest of the card.

The co-main event for the UFC Fight Night 88 will be between former 135-pound champion Renan Barao and Jeremy Stephens. That fight will be contested at 145 pounds, Barao's first foray into the featherweight division.

Other bouts announced for the main card will be a welterweight bout between No. 10 ranked Tarec Saffiedine and No. 11 ranked Rick Story, a welterweight bout between veteran Jorge Masvidal against Lorenz Larkin, a lightweight fight between Josh Burkman and Paul Felder, and a middleweight tussle between Chris Camozzi and Vitor Miranda.

Also taking place on the prelims for that event will be a light weight showdown between Abel Trujillo and Diego Ferreira, as well as a lightweight battle staking Erik Koch against Joe Proctor. Keith Berish will fight Jake Collier, and Chris De La Rocha will take on Adam Milstead.

UFC Fight Night 88 takes place May 29 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
