Zubaira Tukhugov and Renato Carneiro will put their undefeated UFC record on the line on May 14, as they collide in a featherweight bout at UFC 198 in Curitiba, Brazil.
Tukhugov (18-3) returns to Brazil, where he made his promotional debut, looking to go 4-0 under the UFC banner. The 25-year-old Russian featherweight has won nine in a row, defeating Douglas Andrade, Ernest Chavez and Phillipe Nover inside the Octagon.
Carneiro (9-0-1) finally returns to action almost two years after choking out Tom Niinimaki in his promotional debut on short notice. The Brazilian prospect signed with the UFC after racking up an 8-0-1 record with eight wins under the Jungle Fight banner.
UFC 198 takes place at the 42,000-seat Atletico Paranaense soccer stadium in Curitiba, Brazil, and features heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum vs. Stipe Miocic in the main event. The official fight card currently includes 10 bouts, but could feature up to 15 fights, according to Brazil UFC general manager Giovani Decker.
