Tristar Gym partners with Reebok

Reebok has partenered with lauded Montreal, Quebec, training facility Tristar Gym, MMAFighting.com has learned.

Reebok's involvement in MMA exploded in December 2014, when the apparel company announced an exclusive sponsorship as the UFC's global outfitter. Since then, Reebok has partnered with Ireland's SBG Gym, home to UFC featherweight champ Conor McGregor, UFC welterweight Gunnar Nelson, and more.

This current partnership with Tristar Gym serves as the next step forward for the brand as it continues to expand its Reebok Combat Training division and to develop deeper ties within the sport of MMA.

“Tristar Gym is excited to partner with Reebok and the brand’s support means a lot to me, my fighters and my gym members,” Tristar owner and head coach Firas Zahabi stated. “Reebok’s dedication to elevating the sport of MMA, whether through product or fighter sponsorship, is already valuable for the entire MMA community, but will be great for Tristar.”

Tristar Gym is home to over 20 current UFC fighters, including welterweight contender Rory MacDonald, lightweights Joseph Duffy and Olivier Aubin-Mercier, and strawweight Randa Markos. UFC legend and longtime welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre also called Tristar home for much of his near-12-year professional career.
