Another potential Bryan Caraway fight has passed by.
It seems everyone at 135 pounds wants to fight the polarizing bantamweight. Most recently, John Dodson was the name linked to Caraway for a matchup.
But that potential fight is off, and Dodson will look for another opponent for his bantamweight return, MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani reported on Wednesday's edition of UFC Tonight.
The sticking point was that Caraway did not want to fight in April, which was the proposed time frame, due to "personal reasons." Dodson is itching to get back to action and doesn't want to wait any longer.
Veteran Rani Yahya's name is the latest making the rounds as a potential opponent for Dodson, who dropped down to flyweight after winning The Ultimate Fighter 13. He was 5-2 at 125 pounds, with both losses coming to current champion Demetrious Johnson.
Yahya (21-8, 1 NC) is on a two-fight win streak, most recently a split decision over Masanori Kanehara on July 15.
