Round 1: Leon Roberts is the referee. Breese opens southpaw while Nakamura is orthodox. The Japanese fighter lands a nice middle kick to start things off and secures double underhooks off a ducked punch from Breese. Nakamura manages a body lock takedown and now moves to mount. Breese bridges and at first tries a heel hook, but now stands with Nakamura in 50/50 clinch position. Nakamura lands a good punch that stumbles the British fighter, but now they're clinched again. Breese separates and secures a front kick followed by a good jab and inside leg kick. Breese steps in and lands, but is countered by Nakamura's right. Nakamura rushes in on a takedown, but can't quite get it and now they separate aain. Breese scores with a hard jab and body kick.

Round 2: Breese and Nakamura clinch again against the fence and again, Nakamura secures a body lock trip to the mat, moving into mount. Breese bridges and goes back to the heel hook, which he abandons to go to reverse half guard and then on top. Breese is banging on him on top while keeping Nakamura down and flat on his back. Breese is posturing and landing a series of short shots. Breese lands a hammerfist and tries to score an armbar, but ends up in an omaplata. Nakamura goes behind the back and tries to score a crank, but ends up letting Breese get flat to the mat.

Round 3: Breese is pressuring and trying to score a jab, but is having issues with distance. Nakamura dives on a double and doesn't get it, but holds on and presses Breese against the fence. In a scramble, Breese looks for a kneebar before switching to a heel hook. Now Breese backs up his base to sit on Nakamura before trying to move to side control only to be swept with a nicely timed sweep. Breese uses a straight leg to lift and roll Nakamura where he ends up securing an inverted triangle before the round ends. All three rounds are razor thin. If Breese wins, the scores won't reflect how tough it was.
