This is the UFC Fight Night 84 live blog for Francisco Rivera vs. Brad Pickett, a bantamweight bout at Saturday's UFC event at the O2 Arena in London.

Rivera, who has two wins in his past five fights, will face Pickett, who has one win in his past five fights, on the main card.

Round 1:
Neil Hall is the referee. Both fighters open orthodox. Pickett catches a kick, but Rivera lands a left to make Pickett release. Rivera lands an outside leg kick within the first minute. Pickett responds in kind, but so does Rivera. Pickett's trying to cut the cage off while Rivera paws with the jab until the American lands a clean uppercut. One-two and a partial head kick lands for Rivera, followed by a left hook that off balances Pickett, who fails to his feet, but is up quickly. Pickett tries to pressure forward, but Rivera steps off at an angle and lands a one-two. Pickett scores a right, but Rivera lands an uppercut-right hand combo. The two are trading big punches, albeit mostly evenly. Now the two exchange left hooks and now HUGE punches, knocking both of them off of their feet.

Round 2: Pickett is back to pressuring Rivera, but Rivera backs him up with a solid one-two. Another one-two ending with a shovel punch lands for the American and now he's doing more of the stalking. Rivera landing a series of counters, but that's until Pickett plants him on the mat with a single leg. Rivera pulls butterfly guard, but Pickett moves to half, but Rivera drives Pickett off with a hand on the hip and sit up. Rivera lands a chopping outside leg kick. Rivera scores a front kick that partially lands to the face as Pickett leans too far forward. Rivera beautifully times a double leg and plants Pickett on the mat temporarily before Pickett gets back to his feet and lands an uppercut to Rivera's groin. The bout is temporarily halted. The bout resumes and both lands decent shots in a flurry.

Round 3:
Pickett starts off the round stalking with intense pressure. Pickett times a double, but it's stuffed and now the Brit is pressing Rivera into the fence. Rivera is on one knee, but as he stands tries to lock up a guillotine and can't as Pickett jumps to the opposite side of the choke as he takes Rivera down. Without much activity, referee Hall stands them up. Pickett doubles up on a leg kick while Rivera only lands one. Rivera catches a kick and tries to offer one of his own in response, but can't quite land it. However, Rivera does score a head inside single, but only long enough for Pickett to stand. Pickett shoots for a double against the fence and with some elevation, scores it while landing in side control. The fight ends there.
