Chuck Liddell has had negative things to say about Jon Jones here and there over the years. Jones has clearly noticed and is disappointed by them.
Most recently, Liddell said on "The Fighter & The Kid" that he would give Jones "a lot of trouble" if the two fought while Liddell was in his prime. Liddell, a UFC Hall of Famer and former light heavyweight champion, has also criticized Jones' fighting style and what he believes is a lack of killer instinct in the past.
Jones took to Twitter on Thursday to address the legend's most recent barbs. The former light heavyweight champ said he has always been nice to Liddell and doesn't like that their relationship is "shifting" in this direction. "Bones" also took some shots at Liddell's chin.
Maybe, definitely wanted to be decent with him, sucks his hate is shifting things is this direction https://t.co/AMlzlTpssT

Maybe he should've fought smarter and saved some chin https://t.co/aZGtrCwSLS

In a tweet Jones deleted, he said Chuck Norris would be a "tougher challenge" than Liddell at this point.
Jones, 28, will be challenging to get the light heavyweight belt back against rival Daniel Cormier at UFC 197 on April 23 in Las Vegas. Liddell, an executive for the UFC now, will surely be in attendance.
