Two Nova Uniao fighters are slated to compete at the UFC Fight Night card in Rotterdam on May 8.
Light heavyweight Francimar Barroso will take on Nikita Krylov, while Yan Cabral meets Reza Madadi in a lightweight bout in Netherlands. Sources close to the situation confirmed the match-ups to MMAFighting.com following reports by Globo and Combate.
Krylov (19-4) enters the fight coming off three consecutive first-round finishes under the UFC banner. Prior to a submission over Marcos Rogerio de Lima, "Al Capone" tapped Stanislav Nedkov and knocked out Cody Donovan.
Barroso (18-4) holds a 3-1 UFC record, capped off by a pair of decision victories over Elvis Mutapcic and Ryan Jimmo. The Brazilian light heavyweight will be fighting twice in a calendar year in the UFC for the first time since signing with the promotion in 2013.
Cabral (12-2) looks to bounce back to the win column following a decision loss to Johnny Case in November. The Brazilian submitted his opponent in 11 or his 12 MMA wins, including a second-round arm-triangle choke against veteran Kazushi Sakuraba in 2011.
Madadi (13-4), who re-signed with the UFC after spending 14 months in prison, looks for his first victory since a third-round submission over Michael Johnson in 2013. In his return to the Octagon in 2015, Madadi lost to TUF winner Norman Parke.
UFC Fight Night 87, booked for May 8 at Ahoy Rotterdam, will be headlined by Alistair Overeem vs. Andrei Arlovski.
