Jon Jones knows a thing or two about facing adversity, and he’s decided to give his two cents after Ronda Rousey’s loss to champion Amanda Nunes.
After a year-long absence from competition, following a devastating knockout loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, Rousey returned to competition this Friday at UFC 207 to challenge current women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes for her title. The fight didn’t go well for Rousey, as she took a beating on her feet and was stopped by the skillful Nunes in just 48 seconds of the first round.
This is the second consecutive loss for the 29-year-old Rousey after having dominated the UFC women’s bantamweight division for almost two years, and putting women’s MMA on the map.
Now, hours later after UFC 207, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jones took to twitter to share his thoughts on Rousey’s most recent loss, and give some advice to the biggest name in women’s MMA. Below are his tweets:
My advice to Ronda would be to pick yourself up and try again.

I believe Rousey will be a champion for the rest of her life, even if she never wins another fight

I think it's important for Ronda to show her fans how great she truly is by displaying her courage and giving it another try.

What she does next will truly determine her legacy. I really hope she chooses to be a unbroken. Her story doesn't have to be over here

I also still believe she beats 90% of the division. Lots of ass kicking still to be done, lots of money to be made

Maybe she just needs to complement her coach with an MMA family. Maybe she should join one of the bigger MMA teams

Being around other bad asses and constantly sharing your spotlight could be good for you and so many ways. They can improve on your humility
— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) December 31, 2016
Constantly being humbled is never a bad thing in a sport like this
