The Tristar Gym fighter knocked Mike Pyle out cold on the prelims of UFC 207 on Friday night in Las Vegas with a wicked overhand right. Pyle was out before he hit the ground and his head bounced off the canvas as he landed.
Garcia, to his credit, did not follow up with another shot. Referee Dan Miragliotta was quick to step in to call the bout off at 3:34 of the very first round.
Garcia (14-3) came in off losses in two of his last three fights. Pyle (27-13-1), a 17-year MMA vet, has lost four of five.
