UFC Fight Night: VanZant vs. Waterson took place Dec. 17 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Rising welterweight prospects Mickey Gall (4-0) and Sage Northcutt (8-2) collided in the night's co-main event, which aired live on FOX. Catch the video highlights above.

Round 1: Well, here we go with the co-main event of the card. It's a battle between two young prospects. Herb Dean will be the referee for this bout. They touch gloves and the fight is on. Gall takes the center of the cage. Gall shoots for a double, pushes Northcutt against the cage and takes him down. Gall passes Northcutt's guard and into half-guard. Gall looking for a guillotine hols but Northcutt defends well. Three minutes left. Gall moves to side control. They scramble and Gall snatches a guillotine choke. Northcutt fighting it well and escapes. Northcutt now has top position. They're trash talking while Northcutt stands over a downed Gall. Herb Dean stands them up, and the striking battle resumes. One minute left. Gall gets a single leg takedown and falls inside Northcutt's guard. Some ground and pound by Gall. They scramble again and Gall gets the mount, but the bell signals the end of the round.

MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9, Gall.

Round 2: They immediately begin to exchange. Northcutt clips Gall with a left hook. Again with a left hook. They clinch and they break off immediately, but Gall blasts Northcutt with a looping right hook. Gall rushes him and gets his back while Northcutt is still dazed on the ground. Gall gets the body triangle, sinks in a rear-naked choke and taps out Northcutt. Impressive performance by Gall.
