Bellator has announced new match-ups for the preliminary portion of its Jan. 21 event in California. The Bellator 170 undercard will feature the likes of Chinzo Machida, Kevin Casey and Henry Corrales at The Forum in Los Angeles.
Machida (4-2), the elder brother of former UFC champion Lyoto Machida, returns to action six months after a devastating knockout over Mario Navarro in his promotional debut, as he faces Bellator newcomer Jamar Ocampo (2-0).
Casey (9-5-1, 2 no contest), who competed in the UFC for the past two years, makes his debut under the Bellator banner against former Strikeforce and WEC fighter Keith Berry (15-13).
Also in the preliminary portion of the card, Henry Corrales (12-3) looks for his first Bellator victory as he takes on Cody Bollinger (19-6) in a featherweight contest.
Bellator also announced a welterweight bout between Guilherme Vasconcelos (8-3) and John Mercurio (8-7), and a heavyweight clash featuring Jack May (8-3) and Dave Cryer (11-2).
The preliminary portion of the card airs live on Bellator.com, beginning at 6:50 p.m. ET. Bellator 170 will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between former UFC champion Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen.
