Round 1: Hard to follow that act, but if anybody can do it it's Brown and Cerrone. The referee for this one is John McCarthy. No touch of the gloves. Brown in a low crouch, and a leg kick from Cerrone. Body kick, very audible, from Cerrone, and Brown just absorbs it. Stiff left jabs from Brown, and now Cerrone comes forward throwing heavy. He lands a good one in there, but Brown regains his balance and he moves in again. Cerrone with a pair of crisp left jabs, and a couple more. Brown not picking those up at all. Cerrone and Brown trade on the fence. So far seems like Cerrone getting the better of the wheelhouse stuff. Brown already some bruising along his nose and forehead. Left jabs again from Cerroen, and those are there. Now Cerrone comes over top with a kick after the jab set-up, and that got the crowd to roar. Brown wearing the marks of the encounters already. Again, long jabs from Cerrone, who is just picking him off that way. Now Brown returns with a great sequence, landing a couple of shots on Cerrone who was off balance. Round 2: Brown quickly to center, and Cerrone welcomes him with a brief takedown flare and then hits him over the top with his right. Brown just a step slowed in these exchanges. Cerrone again with a head kick, and that might have connected a bit. Still, Brown unwavering. Brown no stranger to coming back in fights. Cerrone still with great movement in there, and another head kick. Now Brown connects on a right hand! That sends Cerrone temporarily down. He comes in with follow-ups, and Cerrone forced to withstand the storm! He does. Brown peddles away, and resets. The jab again from Cerrone, and now Cerrone decks Brown and puts him down. Crazy sequence. Brown okay, as he stands and is immediately met with a series of lunging punches. Head kick from Brown lands, but it didn't have much behind it. Cerrone again playing that chin music, just lighting Brown up from range with his jabs. Head kick again from Cerrone, and that one landed. Brown working the body with punches, been doing that a lot. Nice right hand from Brown lands, and he tries to get in close to land an elbow. That misses, but looked violent. Brown a little wild at the end there, seems to have lost his bearings a bit. Will (likely) need to have finish in the final round to get this one. MMA Fighting scores R2 for Cerrone, 10-9 (20-18 overall)
Round 3: People on their feet. Brown's face just pulverized. But he takes Cerrone down right away, but can't keep him there. Cerrone right back to center ,and lands short right counter on the left hook whiff from Brown. And BOOM! Cowboy Cerrone just landed a lights-out switch kick to the head! It's over. Brown is out. That was timed perfectly and just dropped Brown like he'd been shot. Cerrone didn't even come in for any finishing blows. What a performance, and what a great fight.
