The big event is finally here: UFC 205 is just days away at this point. I've been in New York City all week and the energy here is palpable. The open workouts and media day kick off this morning and afternoon, so we'll get our first chance to talk to the fighters in person. While it sucks the Rashad Evans vs. Tim Kennedy fight is off, there's still plenty to enjoy, anticipate, take in and more. It's finally time to start getting excited.

There's also the issue of what has and could still happen to Jon Jones. The former champion's USADA arbitration didn't yield any improvements in his scheduled punishment and it's anyone's guess what the Nevada Athletic Commission will now do. Could he be gone from the sport until 2018? It certainly seems possible, if tragic and surreal.

Note we have a special kickoff time of 2 p.m. ET today!
