Thomas Almeida put on a show in front of his hometown crowd ... and took home an extra $50,000 for his efforts.
The Sao Paulo, Brazil native got the better of an exciting slugfest against upstart Albert Morales in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 100 at Ginasio do Ibirapuera.
The bantamweight contender's second-round TKO victory gave Almeida one of the Performance of the Night bonuses. The other three:
*Pedro Munhoz, who won his second straight fight and second straight bonus for his second round guillotine submission win over Justin Scoggins at bantamweight.
*Cezar Ferreira. The middleweight winner of the first season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil is now the winner of three straight fights after a nasty arm-triangle finish of Jack Hermansson.
*Gadzhimurad Antigulov. The latest fighter from Dagestan made his mark in his UFC debut with a 67-second submission win over Marcos Rogerio de Lima in a light heavyweight bout.
