Round 1: The referee in charge of the action is Marc Goddard. Mousasi stalks orthodox and Belfort circles as a southpaw. Two lefts land for Belfort, but Mousasi backs out and then backs Belfort up. Decent body kicks lands for the Brazilian, but Mousasi responds with a one-two down the middle. Mousasi fires a jab and shoots, but Belfort is able to defend without much issue. Mousasi trying to corner Belfort against the fence, but can't quite catch the Brazilian with anything clean. Decent body kick from Mousasi finds the mark and Belfort still finds the space for a nice cross. Two-punch combo scores for Mousasi and they clinch. They separate and Mousasi shoots, but the round expires as the takedown lands.

Round 2: Mousasi has the jab pumping early in the second frame and it's landing, but Belfort lands a crushing body kick. Level change from Mousasi with no setup is stuffed from Belfort. A BRUTAL head kick scores after Mousasi fakes like he was about to do peak-a-boo boxing. He follows up with a flurry and takes Belfort to the ground. Belfort tries to cover and capture guard, but the ground and pound and positional control from mount by Mousasi was overwhelming. The referee calls it there.
