It took a little while for Britain's Jimi Manuwa to get warmed up at UFC 204.
But when he did, the Londoner gave his countrymen at Manchester Arena who had waited long into the night Saturday reason to get excited.
Manuwa wore down Ovince Saint Preux before scoring a visceral knockout in a light heavyweight matchup for his second win in his past three fights. The time was 2:38 of the second round.

Saint Preux got the best of things in the opening round, as the Tennessean outgrappled his opponent.
In the second, though, Manuwa started taking it to his opponent, and Saint Preux became visibly fatigued as Manuwa peppered him with body shots.
A body shot set up the finish, as he followed a left to the solar plexus with a wicked right to the jaw. Manuwa then waited and picked his spot, lining up a huge left to the ear which dropped OSP cold and ended the fight.
"I could sense in the body, I went for it," said Manuwa after his 14th career KO/TKO win. "I practice head movement, my coaches said if you rock him don't rush in cause that's when he swings. I took my time."
Saint Preux (19-9) has lost two straight and three of four.
