Controversial Mike Perry might not be making too many friends in the MMA business, but there's no denying his abilities in the cage.
The welterweight from Florida has yet to go the distance in his career, a streak he kept alive in the featured Fight Pass prelim Saturday night at UFC 204.
Perry finished an entertaining scrap with Britain's Danny Roberts with a brutal TKO at the 4:40 mark of the third round at Manchester Arena in England, upping his record to 9-0.
"Man, he was tough," Roberts said. "God bless you Danny Roberts, that was an amazing fight."

Perry came out big in the opening round, landing precise punches and keeping Roberts backpedaling. Roberts came out in round two and evened the score, using big kicks to keep a tiring Perry at bay.
Late in the third, Perry landed a wicked knee in the clinch and then a brutal right hand. Roberts was out cold, but Perry landed three more punches before referee Marc Goddard intervened.
Legal issues and offensive language by both Perry and teammate and former cornerman Alex Nicholson have made Perry a less-than-popular figure in the sport, but he's now 2-0 in the Octagon after going into the third round for the first time in his career.
Roberts (13-2) had a seven-fight win streak snapped.
