UFC 204 live blog: Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson 2

This is the UFC 204 live blog for Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson 2, a middleweight bout at Saturday night's UFC event at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

Bisping, who has won four out of his past five fights, will face Henderson, who has won two of his past five fights, in the main event.

Round 1: The referee in charge of the action is Yves Lavigne. Both fighters come out orthodox and touch gloves. Both fighters crouching low and Bisping, early, is doing the stalking. Henderson fires the right hand, but he misses and Bisping tries to counter, but also misses. Both fighters peppering each other with inside leg kicks and Bisping uses a double jab to partially score a cross. Henderson lazily attempts a takedown and it's easily stuffed. Henderson ducks and throws the right and almost lands it. Henderson lands a monster right hand and drops Bisping. He tries to finish him off and can't. Bisping stands and survives, even tries a jumping switch kick, but strong ending for Henderson.

Round 2: Bisping back to stalking and Henderson's on the back foot, but this appears to be what Henderson wants. Left hook scores for Bisping and Henderson might be breathing hard. Right hand partially lands for Bisping as he pushes Henderson back across the Octagon. Right hand from Bisping lands, followed by a left high kick. Henderson eats it, but tries to respond and somewhat scores the right. Nice right scores for Bisping, but then Henderson lands ANOTHER right and drops him. Henderson jumps into Bisping's full guard. The round ends there. Incredibly tough round to score.

Round 3: Bisping picks up where he left off, stalking Henderson backwards. Bisping is peppering Henderson with inside leg kicks, but nothing significant thus far. Solid jab scores for the Brit. And another and now a hard outside leg kick. Henderson lands a right, but only after Bisping lands a bevy of his own shots. Body kick scores for Bisping and Henderson trips, but stands after a scramble. Double jab is blocked by Henderson, but the right sneaks through for Bisping. Now a body shot. Right hand lands for Henderson, but Bisping rolls with it, so it's not too effectual.

Round 4: Bisping is back to stalking, but Henderson scores with a nice outside leg kick. Bisping lands one of his own. Bisping nearly moves into a right hand and it lands, but the punch doesn't have the same authority. Good body kick scores for Henderson. A low blow temporarily halts the contest, but after a minute or two, it resumes. Jab scores for the Brit, but Henderson is pressing a bit. Decent body kick for Henderson finds the mark. Henderson throws two rights, but both are too close and don't land. Three-punch combo for Bisping lands. Good knee on the clinch break for Henderson. A very close round.

Round 5: They touch gloves. Spinning heel kick from Bisping misses. They clinch and Henderson nearly lands a knee, but that misses, too. Henderson trying to push forward and sort of scoring, but Bisping backing out every time. Bisping lands a jab and another. Good right scores for Bisping as he evades. Henderson wings a right and misses, but lands a knee to the body. Good body kick from the champion finds the mark at the end of a combo. Sharp left hook and jab find the mark for Bisping as Henderson whiffs on an uppercut. Henderson backs Bisping up and lands a right and then chases down a knee tap, which scores, but Bisping gets up. Henderson shoots and Bisping stuffs it. Jumping knee partially lands for Bisping as Henderson does a forward roll. Weird ending and a very tight round.
