Round 1: The referee in charge of the action is Yves Lavigne. Bektic is orthodox and Doane is southpaw. Both are exchanging hard in the pocket with a roughly even result before Bektic perfectly times a double and moves into Doane's open guard. Doane rolls to his base and Bektic gets behind, scoring a mat return, but Doane is still scrambling to his feet. Bektic is trying to find a way to plant Doane on the mat and has various attempts that get close, but Doane just keeps popping back up, albeit without creating separation. Finally Bektic gets it and puts both hooks in. He nearly gets the choke, but Doane rolls. Bektic follows and keeps position. One more attempt and Bektic uses the Gable grip to close the show. Easy win for the ATT product.
