This is the Promotional Malpractice Live Chat.

It's always a busy week in the sport of mixed martial arts. There are essentially two tracks of news that currently parallel each other. On the first track is the event news. UFC 204 is Saturday, which features Michael Bisping defending his middleweight title against Dan Henderson (that still feels weird to write). That bout has raised questions of deserving contenders, but not as much given their history and the likability of the bout itself. There's also a WSOF card on Friday, which is arguably one of the best cards that organization has ever put together.

The other track of news relates to matters outside of events. Jose Aldo is saying he won't return to the UFC even for a rematch with Conor McGregor. Now Khabib Nurmagomedov suggests if he doesn't get a title shot after (presumably) winning at UFC 205, he's gone from the UFC forever. He also seemed to suggest he'd have the ability to keep the UFC out of Russia, although how is entirely unclear. It's further proof that not everyone is particularly pleased with high-ticket fighters jumping the title picture queue.
