A pair of fights pitting Marcos Galvao vs. L.C. Davis, and Chris Honeycutt vs. Ben Reiter, are the latest additions to the Bellator 166 main card. The news was announced by the promotion Monday.
Galvao is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Eduardo Dantas at Bellator 156 in June, losing his bantamweight title to his fellow Brazilian. That fight was the second time Galvao lost to Dantas in a title fight, as he lost to 'DuDu' back in 2013 trying to seize bantamweight gold. Prior his last fight, Galvao was on a four-fight winning streak including his submission victory over Joe Warren at Bellator 135 to become the Bellator 135-pound champion.
His opponent, Davis, is also coming a unanimous decision loss. The 36-year-old American lost to Joe Warren in the main event of Bellator 143 in September. That loss snapped a three-fight winning streak that included a victory over Japan's Hideo Tokoro.
Fighting in the middleweight division, Honeycutt is looking to extend his winning streak to three in a row. The 28-year-old fighter has back-to-back wins over Mikkel Parlo and Matt Secor. This upcoming fight with Reiter marks Honeycutt's fourth fight in the 2016 calendar.
Reiter last fought in June at Bellator 156 where he bounced back from his first professional loss, defeating A.J. Mathews via unanimous decision. Reiter is 17-1 as a professional fighter and has a record of 3-1 inside the Bellator cage.
Bellator 166 is set to take place at the WinStar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville, Okla. on Dec. 2. Eduardo Dantas will defend his newly crowned bantamweight title in a rematch against Joe Warren.
