Another injury has affected the UFC's upcoming event to Northern Ireland.
James Krause has been forced to withdraw from his Nov. 19 fight against Ross Pearson due to an injured hamstring, he announced Wednesday. As a result, Pearson is now slated to meet Scotland's Stevie Ray, MMA Fighting has learned.
Ray (19-6) recently suffered the first loss of his UFC career last month when he dropped a unanimous decision to Alan Patrick. The loss snapped Ray's five-fight winning streak and three straight inside the Octagon.
Pearson (19-12, 1 NC) will be competing in his fifth fight of the year. He's gone 1-3 thus far, losing his last two in a row.
Gegard Mousasi vs. Uriah Hall 2 is the new main event for UFC Fight Night: Belfast, replacing Gunnar Nelson vs. Dong Hyun Kim. Nelson pulled out of the fight late last week after suffering an ankle injury.
