At UFC on FOX 13, Rafael dos Anjos fought Nate Diaz in catchweight bout after Diaz missed weight. That night, dos Anjos improved his MMA record to 23-7 by defeating Diaz via unanimous decision. With that win, the Brazilian went on to challenge Anthony Pettis for the title, and win the title.
Now, having lost his lightweight belt to Eddie Alvarez earlier this year in July, dos Anjos looks to get back in the winning column by taking on top lightweight contender Tony Ferguson. The two 155-pound fighters are scheduled to fight in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3 Finale. This card is set to take place on Nov. 5 at the Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico.
