A light heavyweight bout between Ion Cutelaba and Jared Cannonier is the latest addition to The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale.
The news was announced by the promotion on Thursday.
Cutelaba is coming off his first UFC win, outpointing Jonathan Wilson at UFC Fight Night 96. He made headlines prior to that fight by showing up to the ceremonial weigh-ins as The Hulk, painted in all green. The 22-year-old light heavyweight lost his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 89 earlier this year to Misha Cirkunov. Cutelaba is 1-1 in the UFC, and 12-2 as a professional fighter.
Meanwhile, Cannonier is also in a similar situation as Cutelaba. The French fighter is coming off his first UFC win, knocking out Cyril Asker in a heavyweight bout. Cannonier had lost his UFC debut to Shawn Jordan back at UFC 182 in January 2015. ‘Killa Gorilla’ will be dropping to the 205-pound division to fight Cutelaba.
The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale is set to take place on Dec. 3, 2016 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nev. UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson is scheduled to defend his title against the winner of the TUF 24 season in the main event of the card.
