California's capital city just added a dash of "Hot Sauce."
Scott Holtzman will meet Josh Emmett at UFC on FOX 22 on Dec. 17 on Sacramento, sources told MMA Fighting. UFC officials confirmed the bout Tuesday. Also added to the card is a bout between Sultan Aliev and Bojan Velickovic.
"Hot Sauce" Holtzman (9-1) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Cody Pfister in July. He has won two of his three UFC fights. The 33-year-old MMA Lab product came into the UFC last year as an undefeated prospect.
Emmett (10-0) beat Jon Tuck by split decision in May in his UFC debut. The Team Alpha Male product was supposed to face Jeremy Kennedy at UFC on FOX 21 in August, but an injury sidelined him. Emmett, 31, has won half of his victories via finish.
Aliev (13-2) has not fought since a first-round knockout loss to Kenny Robertson at UFC on FOX 14 in January 2015. That was the 32-year-old's UFC debut. Velickovic (14-3-1) fought to a majority draw with Michael Graves at UFC 201 in July. The 27-year-old won his UFC debut in April against Alessio Di Chirico.
UFC on FOX 22 is headlined by a women's strawweight contender matchup between Paige VanZant and Michelle Waterson. Also on the card, Sage Northcutt takes on Mickey Gall in a battle of high-profile prospects.
