Coming off a controversial fight week last time out, Alex Oliveira isn't wasting much time getting back into action.
The Brazilian will meet Tim Means in a welterweight bout at UFC 207 in Las Vegas on Dec. 30. MMAFighting.com confirmed an initial Tuesday report by the Albuquerque Journal.
Oliveira (16-3-1, 1 NC), of Rio de Janeiro, defeated Will Brooks via third-round TKO on Oct. 1. But Oliveira missed weight by five pounds for what was scheduled as a lightweight fight, then drew the wrath of much of the MMA community by taunting Brooks, who made weight, after the bout.
Regardless, the win was the fifth in Oliveira's past six fights. He returns to welterweight to meet Albuquerque's Means (26-7-1), who has won two straight fights, both via finish, and six of his past seven.
Means called out Oliveira via Twitter following the Brooks fight and is now getting his wish.
