The Shane Carwin comeback train got rolling this weekend, though not exactly in the way many people expected.
Carwin took on professional skateboarder and entertainer Jason Ellis in an exhibition boxing match on Saturday that headlined EllisMania 13, an annual event staged by Ellis.
The catch? Carwin had to compete with one hand duct-taped to his side.
But, yeah. It didn't matter much. Catch video of the knockout below.
All weighed in. This one is official. BAD NEWS for @EllisMate. #Ellismania13 pic.twitter.com/rVw9X60Oxd

This is not the first time Ellis has staged this kind of event. At recent iterations of Ellismania, the part-time fighter challenged TUF 5 veteran Gabe Ruediger to a pair of exhibition boxing matches. He won both matches, first knocking out Ruediger, the beating him by decision.
But it is safe to say that Carwin is not Gabe Ruediger. The 41-year-old former UFC interim heavyweight champion is famed as one of the hardest punchers in the history of the sport. He won 12 straight fights by first-round finish to start his MMA career, including a four-minute destruction of Frank Mir to earn the UFC interim title.
Carwin closed out his UFC career with two consecutive losses, but recently announced his intentions to return to MMA as a free agent. He is expected to draw interest from numerous promotions, though it may be hard to find him an easier fight than the one he had against Ellis.
