Featherweight contender Daniel Weichel is scheduled to take on Paul Redmond at Bellator 169 in Dublin.
The news was announced by the promotion on Friday.
The 31-year-old Weichel is currently on a two-fight winning streak, with his last loss coming to Patrício Freire back in 2015. Weichel last competed at Bellator 159 in July, defeating Emmanuel Sanchez via split decision. The German fighter is 9-1 in his past 10 bouts, and 37-9 as a professional fighter.
Meanwhile, Redmond will be making his Bellator debut. The Irish fighter returned to action in September at BAMMA 26 where he defeated Chris Stringer via decision. Prior to that, Redmond was on a two-fight losing streak that had him cut from the UFC. The 29-year-old fighter has a professional MMA record of 11-6.
Bellator 169 is set to take place in Dublin, Ireland on Dec. 16. Muhammed 'King Mo' Lawal is scheduled to fight Satoshi Ishii in the main event of the card. This event will also be a collaboration between Bellator and BAMMA, where both promotions will put on two separate shows on the same day and in the same arena - the 3 Arena.
