The next Invicta card is getting a pair of title fights.
Tonya Evinger will defend her Invicta women's bantamweight belt against Yana Kunitskaya and Angela Hill puts her strawweight gold on the line against Kaline Medeiros at Invicta FC 20 on Nov. 18 in Kansas City, promotion officials told MMA Fighting on Thursday.
Evinger (17-6) has won all six of her Invicta fights and won the 135-pound title in July 2015. Four of those victories have been via finish. Evinger, 35, most recently defeated Colleen Schneider by unanimous decision in May. She is arguably the best female fighter in the world not in the UFC.
Kunitskaya (9-2), an Invicta newcomer, is coming off a second-round TKO win over Yanan Wu at Fightspirit Championship 6 last month. The Russia native has won seven of her last eight fights. Kunitskaya, 26, owns a win over current Invicta featherweight contender Cindy Dandois.
Hill (5-2), an Ultimate Fighter and UFC alum, won the strawweight title by beating Livia Renata Souza by split decision in May. Hill, 28, has won all three of her Invicta fights since being released by the UFC. Medeiros (8-4) has won five in a row, most recently a unanimous decision win over Manjit Kolekar last month. The 37-year-old Brazilian trains out of Sityodtong in Boston.
Also at Invicta FC 20, former atomweight champion Herica Tiburcio will take on Simona Soukupova; Amber Brown meets TUF 23 alum Ashley Yoder; Jessica-Rose Clark faces Pam Sorenson; Lynn Alvarez takes on prospect and TUF 23 alum J.J. Aldrich; newcomers Miranda Maverick and Samantha Diaz will face off; and Stephanie Egger faces an opponent to be named.
The card will air live on UFC Fight Pass from the Scottish Rite Temple.
