Doo Ho Choi got the fight he was hoping for.
Weeks after knocking out Thiago Tavares in Las Vegas in July, "The Korean Superboy" called out Cub Swanson to a featherweight bout, and the UFC announced on Thursday that the match-up is official for Toronto’s UFC 206 on Dec. 10.
Undefeated for over six years, Choi (14-1) impressed with three first-round TKO finishes under the UFC banner, including a 93-second victory over Sam Sicilia and a 18-second knockout over Juan Manuel Puig.
Swanson (23-7) enters the bout coming off back-to-back decision victories over Hacran Dias and Tatsuya Kawajiri earlier this year, improving to 8-3 inside the Octagon.
UFC 206 is set to take place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, and features a rematch between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson for the UFC light heavyweight championship in the main event.
